Get alerted when machine move more than they should
A must for legacy machinery and it-can’t-fail systems, Monnit’s Accelerometer Vibration Wireless Sensors use an accelerometer to continually measure vibration, speed, duration, and frequency for all three axes. Excessive vibration often indicates failing machine health, overdue maintenance, or structural damage.
Monnit’s vibration sensor alerts you (via text, email, or call) if an asset moves more than it should. The sensor is highly configurable—measurement intervals can be set as low as one minute.
The Wireless Vibration Meter Sensor uses an accelerometer to measure vibration speed and frequency and report on 3 axes. The sensor reports speed (mm/s) and frequency (Hz) on all three axes, and duty cycle (how much of the report interval vibration was present).
Industry-ready sensors
The Wireless Vibration Meter Sensor measures the vibration intensity of the system to which it is attached. The sensor uses an accelerometer to capture g-force on all axes and then calculates speed and frequency from that acceleration data. The Vibration Meter reports the duty cycle, or how long the sensor was measuring vibrations throughout the heartbeat.
This sensor comes with an industrial battery included with the life of up to 7 years.
All industrial sensors are enclosed in a reliable, weatherproof NEMA-rated enclosure that are constructed for both indoor and outdoor use. These rugged enclosures protect the sensor circuitry against;
- Falling dirt
- Wind-blown dust
- Rain, sleet, snow, splashing water, and hose-directed water
- Ice formation on the enclosure
- Increased resistance to corrosion
Features
- Impressive wireless range of up to 1,200 feet through walls
- Frequency-hopping spread spectrum (FHSS)
- Improved interference immunity
- Improved power management for longer battery life
- Encrypt-RF® Security (Diffie-Hellman Key Exchange + AES-128 CBC for sensor data messages)
- Stores 2000 to 4000 readings if gateway connection is lost (non-volatile flash, persists through the power cycle)
- 10-minute heartbeats = ~ 22 days
- 2-hour heartbeats = ~ 266 days
- Over-the-air updates
- Free iMonnit basic online wireless sensor monitoring and notification system to configure sensors, view data and set alerts via SMS text and email
